Current opportunities:

Bookkeeper/Office Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated bookkeeper/office manager who enjoys a fast-paced, small business environment and is committed to providing superior customer service. Specific responsibilities include:

Standard bookkeeping for small business, with daily management of receivables and payables in QuickBooks;
Processing phone and online sales, and handling follow-up inquiries regarding order status;
Employee management.
Payroll processing.
Create and maintain policies and procedures.
Maintaining and enhancing relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
Answering customer inquiries via phone and web;
Monitoring customer payments and initiating follow-up as needed for past-due accounts;
Purchasing of shop and office supplies.
Processing paperwork daily for shipping and receiving.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a take-charge attitude and the ability to problem-solve with limited guidance. Specific qualifications include:

A minimum of three years of experience in a similar position; prior small-business and/or manufacturing experience a plus;
A minimum of three years experience with Quickbooks;
Extraordinary attention to detail;
Demonstrated skill in managing projects with overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.

Candidates with the following work experience will be given preferential consideration:

Experience with UPS world ship and online credit card processing;
Experience working with international customers and suppliers;
Experience with online shopping-cart software, preferably Shopify
An interest in motorsports.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

40 hours/week
Monday to Friday, 9-5 (flexible)

MiG / TiG Welder

We're looking for an experienced MiG / TiG production welder to join our team full time at Margay Racing in St. Louis, MO. Kart Assembler

Please note that this position is currently filled however we are accepting applications for future consideration.

We're looking for an additional, experienced full-time kart assembler to join our team at Margay Racing in St. Louis, MO. Prior karting or other powersports experience required. Potential for some travel to race events.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

-Assembling and servicing new & used karts

-Engine installation

-Light manufacturing work: Use of cut-off saw, belt sander, drill press, etc.

-Cleaning and detailing

-Vinyl decal installation

-Assisting with shipping duties

-General organization of work area

Assembly technician job qualifications:

-A basic mechanical knowledge of modern powersport vehicles and/or small engine repair

-Ability to lift and carry heavy product and equipment

-Have and maintain a satisfactory driving record

-Highly self motivated and able to take initiative on jobs and tasks that need to be performed

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team and possess a professional customer focused attitude

-Proficient listening and excellent communication skills with other employees as well as capable of following written instructions and procedures

-Great punctuality with reliable transportation

-Ability to work a 40-hour, Monday through Friday schedule

-All around good attitude and work ethic in a team environment

-Ownership of basic hand tools

Hourly Pay: $18/hour+, commensurate with experience and ability

Race Team Mechanic

Please note that this position is currently filled however we are accepting applications for future consideration.

Our Ignite arrive & drive program continues to grow. We're looking for part-time mechanics with the ability to work weekend events in support of our racing customers. Event locations include Daytona, Indy, Quincy, IL, Gateway (St. Louis), Springfield, IL, New Castle, IN, Etc. Events are typically 2-4 days.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

-Running a daily race program with multiple drivers, typically, though not limited to the Ignite program powered by the Briggs & Stratton Racing 206 engine.

-Provide a safe, fun & competitive racing experience for the customer

-General kart, engine & clutch maintenance

-Insure that designated karts are maintained to the highest level possible

-Manage a clean, well-organized work area

Race team mechanic job qualifications:

-Past or current racing experience is essential

-Ability to work independently while in a team environment and possess a professional, customer-focused attitude

-Excellent communication skills

-Ability to mount and dismount tires

-Data analysis experience

-Briggs 206 experience preferred

-Must be age 18 or older
